Fall 2014: Democracy at Risk

The fifth annual QIPSR Conference entitled Democracy at Risk will take place on Friday, November 7th in the Gallery of Young Library. Renowned comparative scholars will present research that examines threats to democracy in several regions of the world, including the U.S. Each presenter will give a talk about their own work.

Spring 2014: Reversing Trajectories: Incarceration, Violence and Political Consequences

Reversing Trajectories will take place on April 16th, 17th and 18th. This conference will focus on the substantive links between incarceration and violence and their political results. We also have a subfocus of the conference on trajectory analysis (download and install) which is a useful tool in empirically studying these issues.
