Software Festival

The QIPSR Software Festival provides introductory and advanced training to a range of statistical and quantitative programs typically used in statistical, social science, and policy research. These workshops are designed to provide a basic overview of a given software program for someone with little to know experience and are generally appropriate to anyone with a basic knowledge of statistical analysis.

Past workshops have included:

  • Stata
  • SAS
  • SPSS
  • R
  • ArcGIS
  • UCInet
  • Matlab
  • LaTex

We also regularly hold advanced workshops on topics like Graphics in Stata, Regression in Stata, ProcTraj in SAS, and many others. We now provide two software festivals per year: one in the early fall and one in early spring. The next Software Festival will take place in early February. We are planning to offer workshops on graphics in Stata and R, social networking programs like UCINet, and mapping software like ArcGIS and Stata.
